Hired him for a bear hunt in 2005. Worst hunt ever. All we did was drive around Greenhorn in his truck. He never even let his dogs out. They never barked once. Either they are the best broke dogs ever or they suck. I say the latter. Find another guide, one that truly know what he’s doing.
I know one of the best houndsmen in CA history and he agrees, Mike doesn’t have a very good reputation nor do his dogs. Wish I had met this legend sooner because he’s retired now. Anyways, CA is in the rearview mirror these days, I moved to Idaho.
